English Language Acquisition (ELA/ESL/ESOL)

MCC offers English Intensive INRW (Integrated Reading and Writing) 0301 and 0302 courses for ELA (English Language Acquisition) students.  These classes begin with the letter "E" in the section number.  Students who come from ELA backgrounds or whose written English proficiency, as indicated by placement testing, suggests that an ELA course would be beneficial are encouraged to register for these classes.

Support Services for ELA Learners

Academic Support and Tutoring in the Learning Commons offers free assistance for students in all MCC classes.  ELA students will find that regular writing support from AST tutors is a great way to enhance their English reading and writing skills.
